DECA FeDex Leadership Conference at Dowling

Kings Park High School Students of the Senior Experience Program, Accounting class and the DECA: Business Club recently participated in the Junior Achievement of NY’s Job Shadow program sponsored by FeDex at Dowling College on November 6, 2015.  It was a full day of career training activities through the FeDex Leadership Conference. Students were exposed to job readiness skills and expectations from experienced FeDex upper level managers.  Additionally, they were able to practice networking and interpersonal business communication with other schools under the guidance of the community volunteers and Junior Achievement, Ms. Carmella Rossi. The goal of the career readiness programs of Kings Park High School is to make the connections of the academic learning environment to post-secondary career training.
