Police Make An Arrest In Road Rage Incident

Suffolk County Police have arrested the man who seriously injured another man during a road rage incident in West Babylon on October 19.

Following an investigation by First Squad detectives, Patrick Laughlin was arrested at the First Precinct on Sunday, October 20 at 11:14 p.m.

Loughlin, 37, of Babylon, was charged with Assault 1st Degree, Assault 2nd Degree and Criminal Mischief 3rd Degree. He is being held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on October 21.

According to police following a road rage incident, two men drove their vehicles into the parking lot located at 90 Route 109 at approximately 8:10 p.m. The men exited their vehicles and engaged in an altercation. One of the men got back into his vehicle, rammed the other man’s vehicle three times, and then ran over the other man before fleeing the scene.
