AHEARN, Thomas Francis, Jr. of Smithtown and Hauppauge succumbed to Parkinson’s Disease in his 81st year. Beloved husband of Ann Ahearn, his late bride of 54 years.Thomas was born on August 4, 1932  and resided in Jackson Heights, New York and was the eldest child of Thomas and Bertha Ahearn. Survived by his sister, Kathleen Lang. Loving father of seven children: the late Ann, Ellen (Russ), Thomas, Christopher (Eileen), Robert (Cathy), Carol (Thomas), Michael (Allyson) and 19 grandchildren. 

Honorable veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Graduate of Bishop Loughlin Memorial High School and Queens College. Proudly retired as Lieutenant, Homicide Squad 113th Precinct, New York City Police Department. Former Commander of the Queens Special Homocide Task Force and decorated member of the Police Pistol Team.

Funeral Service was celebrated at Branch Funeral Home. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to the professional care of The Branch Funeral Home Smithtown and Vigliante family
