KIRBY -  Beatrice L. (nee Wakefield), of Smithtown, passed away surrounded by her loving family.  Beatrice was a retired Real Estate Broker.  She was the founder of the Smithtown Girls Athletic League and was inducted into the first class of the Smithtown High School Athletic Hall of Fame.  Beatrice was also the 1969 Suffolk County Ladies Bowling Champion.  Beloved wife of James E. Kirby Sr. (retired Suffolk County Commissioner of Social Services).  Loving mother of Kelley Bowman (Edward) and the late James E. Kirby Jr. (Linda).  Cherished grandmother of Allison and Jimmy.  Devoted sister of Lillian Munro and predeceased by 11 other siblings.  Visitation was held at Fives Smithtown Funeral Home, 31 Landing Ave. Smithtown.  Religious Service was held Wednesday at the First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown.  Burial followed at Smithtown Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the First Presbyterian Church of Smithtown, 175 East Main St., Smithtown, NY 11787
