HAUPPAUGE, NY— Suffolk County Executive Ed Romaine announced bathing at Smith Point Beach is open for two additional weekends after Labor Day, extending the summer season until September 15.

“Keeping open our most accessible county beach allows our residents to beat the heat and enjoy our amenities a little while longer,” said Romaine.

Lifeguards will be on duty on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and parking fees will be collected from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
