About Smithtown and Why it Matters...
Smithtown is located on the west end of Suffolk County, on Long Island, in the State of New York. It's about forty miles east of New York City, and many of its residents commute daily to the city to earn a living. Its schools and students excel scholastically and in sports. Within the Town of Smithtown are smaller towns, hamlets and villages, and it includes the Sunken Meadow State Park, and the Nissequogue River State Park.
