Pedestrian Critically In Lake Ronkonkoma

Suffolk County Police Fourth Squad detectives are investigating a motor vehicle crash that critically injured a pedestrian in Lake Ronkonkoma last night.

Michael Becker was walking southbound in front of 622 Hawkins Ave. when he was struck by a southbound 2016 Subaru Outback at approximately 7:45 p.m.

Becker, 46, of Lake Ronkonkoma, was transported to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of critical injuries. The driver of the Outback, Stephen Murphy, 94, of Holtsville, was not injured. The vehicle was impounded for a safety check.
