Police Identify Smithtown Man As Driver Of Hit-And-Run Fatality

 

Suffolk County Police today arrested the driver who struck and killed a pedestrian on Veterans

Memorial Highway in Bohemia on November 27.

Seth Miller, 40, of Smithtown, was charged with Leaving the Scene of an Incident with a Fatality.

He will be arraigned today at First District Court in Central Islip.

Major Case Unit detectives are continuing the investigation.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Incident: Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-Run Crash

Location: Veterans Memorial Highway at 5th Avenue, Bohemia

Date/Time: Wednesday, November 27, 2024 at approximately 5:15 a.m.

Suffolk County Police Major Case Unit detectives are investigating a hit-and-run crash that killed a

pedestrian in Bohemia this morning.

A woman was crossing Veterans Memorial Highway at 5th Avenue when she was struck by a westbound

vehicle that fled the scene at approximately 5:15 a.m.

The woman, who has not yet been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Major C
