13-Year-Old Arrested For Having Brass Knuckles At School

Suffolk County Police arrested a 13-year-old male for possessing brass knuckles at a Lake Ronkonkoma school Friday, September 13.

The teenager was asked to empty his bag by an employee of the school for an unrelated incident when brass knuckles were discovered at Samoset Middle School, located at 51 School St., at approximately 1 p.m.

The teen was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon 4th Degree, a Class A Misdemeanor, and is scheduled to be arraigned in Suffolk County Family Court on a later date.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
