Albertus, Alfred J. Age 84 of Stony Brook, NY (formerly of Brooklyn) on November 30, 2011. NYPD Detective 1st Grade. WW II Army Veteran. Beloved husband of Prudence (nee  Silecchia). Loving father of  Donna Marie Albertus, Barbara Ryan Hausman (David), Carol Anne Albertus (Cary Wolfson) and Angela Marie Albertus. Cherished grandfather of Elise, Michael, Ian and Christin. Dear brother of Emil James and Ruth Anthony, and the late Joseph, Elizabeth, Eva,Yanta, Ralph, Helen, Theodore, Leo, Samuel and Naomi

Funeral Mass was celebrated at St’s. Philip & James RC Church Smithtown, NY. Interment followed at St. Charles Cemetery.
