PINA, Richard D. of Wading River, NY age 84 passed on June 7, 2013. Proud Korean War Veteran USMC. Semper Fi! Beloved husband of Geraldine. Loving father of Richard (Aurora) Pina, Kristina (Nathaniel) Siegel, & Lisa (Robert) Frenna. Cherished grandfather of Elizabeth (David) Roque, Catherine, & Victoria. Dear friend of the Madden family. Devoted companion of Beethoven & Wolfgang.
Funeral Mass was celebrated at Sts. Philip & James R. C. Church, St. James, NY. Interment followed at Calverton National Cemetery
In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Myasthenia Gravis Foundation of America 355 Lexington Avenue, 15th Floor, New York, NY 10017.

I never got the chance to meet you, but your granddaughter speaks wonders of you and your time with her. It's clear that you had a profound impact on her life, and with your love and support, she's become a woman any grandfather would be proud of.
