Obituary - Donald Molinelli

MOLINELLI - Donald, “Don”, passed away on February 15 at the age of 93. Beloved husband of 66 years to the late Jennie. Devoted father to sons Thomas (Carolyn) and William. Loving brother to the late Ann and the late Robert (Suzanne). A 60 year resident of Smithtown NY, Don enlisted in the service at the age of 17 and proudly served his country during WW II as a Navy medic in the Pacific Theater. His notable career included jobs as a feature writer and reporter for The New York Daily News, an Account Executive with the public relations firm of Carl Byoir & Associates, a publicist for the Speaker of the NY State Assembly, and a communications expert for the National Basketball Association. Don retired from the Catholic Medical Center of Queens.  In lieu of flowers donations are requested to be made to the Alzheimer’s Association www.alz.org. Arrangements entrusted to the professional care of Branch Funeral Home of Smithtown and Vigliante family. Online guest book at www.branchfh.com
