Obituary - James Giargiana

GIARGIANA - James “Jim”, 46 of Nesconset, NY died on Saturday July 5, 2014 due to complications of end-stage renal disease. He was born in 1967 at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip, NY to Joseph & Genevieve Giargiana of Nesconset, NY. He is survived by his parents, his brother, Joe Giargiana, and sister Kim Beazley.Jim was born with damaged kidneys. He started dialysis on August 13, 1976 and except for an 18-month transplant that failed, had been on dialysis ever since. He attended Tackan Elementary School of Nesconset and graduated from The Stony Brook School in 1986, He then attended The Pennsylvania State University when it opened, having transferred his treatments there when their dialysis unit opened. Jim loved life, was extremely positive, chose humor whenever possible, and could recall details of any occasion. He had a passion for the Yankees, music, baseball cards, and the color green, endured many difficult circumstances including having been a dialysis patient since 1976. He is survived by many other family members and friends. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s R.C. Obituary - George D. Farley

FARLEY - George Donald. 88, of St. James L.I. N.Y. Passed away on July 1, 2014. Born in Queens N.Y. graduated from Jamaica High School, and joined  the U.S. Army Air Force serving as a B-29 tail gunner in the Pacific Theater with 35 combat missions over Japan. Graduated from New York University, and worked as an Executive Editor for McGraw Hill. Predeceased by his beloved wife Delores Lee-Farley, and son James Steven Farley, and survived by his loving children Diane (Kevin) Smith, George ( Geralyn) Farley, David J. Farley, Kevin (Gesel) Farley, Colin P. Farley. In addition he is survived by his loving nine Grandchildren.

Friends may call the St. James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Road, St. James (Route 25) on  Sunday 2-4pm & 7-9pm. Funeral Mass Monday 10 am at Sts. Philip & James Church, Intermit: Long Island National Cemetery
