Obituary - Leann M. Fettinger

FETTINGER—Leann M., Age 26, of Smithtown, passed on May 19, 2014. Beloved daughter of Charles and Mary. Loving sister of Jaclyn. She will be missed dearly by many friends and family. Funeral Mass was celebrated at St. Patrick’s R.C. Church in Smithtown. Interment followed at Smithtown Cemetery.

Obituary - Edward J. Borowski

Edward J. BorowskiBOROWSKI,Edward J. of Hauppauge, NY on May 12, 2014 in his 91st year.  Beloved husband of the late Rose.  Loving son of the late Stefania & Leon Borowski.  Devoted father of Janet, Robert and Paul and father in law of Kathryn.  Cherished grandfather of Stephanie, James, Michael and Amanda Rose.  Dear brother of Helen, the late Leon, Jean, Frank, Joseph and Feliz.  Loving Godfather and Uncle of many.  Edward was both in Jamaica, NY in 1922.  As a teenager, he served in the Civilian Conservation Corps (C.C.C.) in Idaho prior to serving in World War II as a sailor.  Hew was a Storekeeper 2nd Class on the Battleship USS Texas; which was at Normandy for D-Day, and at the battles of Iwo Jima and Okinawa in the Pacific.  Edward retired in December 1992 from Mueller Martini and worked as a technician for Fairchild and Hobart.  He remained very active in Veteran Organizations, including Post Commander of Kings Park #5796 and Catholic War Veterans in Jamaica, Volunteering including the Long Island Veterans Home in Stony Brook, marching in town parades and presented many Eagle Scouts VFW citations across Suffolk County.  Edward has received many medals and awards for his service to our country, included being inducted into the New York State Senate Veterans Hall of Fame.  Reposing Moloney’s Hauppauge Funeral Home 840 Wheeler Road, (Rte 111) Hauppauge, where a religious service will be held Friday 8PM. Funeral Mass St. Thomas Moore R. C. Church Hauppauge Saturday 9:45 AM.  Interment following Mr. St. Mary Cemetery Flushing, NY.  In lieu of flowers, tas deductible donations can be made to the Rose Borowski Memorial Scholarship Fund Inc. to the Rose & Edward J. Borowski Memorial Scholarship Foundation, given annually to a Hauppauge High School Senior.  Donations in care of Paul E. CIMATO—Dorothy G., (nee Heitman) Age 74, of Deer Park, formerly of Brooklyn, NY, passed on May 3, 2014. Beloved wife of Donald. Loving mother of Donald (Cathy) and Jeffrey. Cherished grandmother of Nicole and Katie. Dear sister of George Heitman, Judith Cross and the late Donald Heitmann. Adored sister in law of Angela Mercarella.
