Obituary - Jacob J "Jack" Young

Young, Jacob  J. “Jack” of Smithtown, Long Island, NY, passed away on February 23, 2019. Jack began his career as an Airline Manager of Braniff Airways & became the International Airline Manager of South African Airways at JFK Airport.  Having graduated from Farleigh Dickenson University, he was a global world traveler along with his beloved wife, Lucy, during their 59+ years of marriage.  Surviving, besides his wife, are his four children:  Brian (Anne) of Great Meadows, NJ; Cheri (Richard) Gostic of Wading River, NY; Karen Halber of Manorville, NY and Leslie (Geoff) Young Whitfield of Lincoln, England. Jack cherished his nine grandchildren:  Katelyn, Michelle and Cari Gostic; Adam, Jillian and Stephanie Young; Catherine and Sarah Whitfield and Matthew Halber. He is survived by many other family members and friends. Obituary - John Navas

Navas, John a retired Operating Engineer, proud Union member and a 24 year resident of Chandler, AZ died from an extended illness on Tuesday, November 3, 2015. Before moving to Arizona John lived and raised his family in Commack, NY. John is survived by his wife Joan Navas, his children Joan Scheffner, Patricia Biancaniello (Tom), MaryAnn Navas, John Navas (Devra), Raymond Navas (Patti) and Anthony Navas (Krista). He is predeceased by his twin brother Roger Navas and his daughter Kathleen Navas. On June 23, 1951 he married Joan his childhood sweetheart. John was a devoted father and grandfather. He is survived by 21 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He will be deeply missed by friends, family and all those who knew him. A visitation will be held from 5:00- 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 5, 2015 with Rosary recited at 7:00 p.m., at Queen of Heaven Catholic Mortuary, 1562 East Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ 85204. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 a.m., Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Andrew the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 3450 West Ray Road, Chandler, AZ 85249. Interment will immediately follow the Mass at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery 1562 East Baseline Road, Mesa, AZ.
