Police Arrest A Huntington Man For Concealment Of Human Corpse In Suitcase

Suffolk County Police today arrested a man in connection with the human remains that were found in a suitcase in Huntington on September 3.

Seikeya Jones, 31, who is undomiciled, has been identified as the person found in a suitcase in a wooded area in Huntington on September 3. The cause of death is still being determined by the Suffolk County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Following an investigation by Homicide Squad detectives, in coordination with MTA Police, Ronald Schroeder was arrested at Pennsylvania Station, located at 1 Pennsylvania Plaza in New York, NY, at 1:55 p.m.

Schroeder, 31, of Huntington, was charged with Concealment of a Human Corpse. He was also charged with an active bench warrant. In addition, MTA Police charged him with Criminal Possession of a Controlled Substance 3rd Degree.

He will be held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on September 7.

A criminal charge is an accusation. A defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.
