Obituary - Stephen Arnold Metzger

Metzger, Stephen Arnold was born on November 23, 1956 and died on October 13, 2016 in San Juan Capistrano, California after fighting a courageous battle with cancer over the past eight months. Stephen grew up in Smithtown, New York, graduated from Smithtown High School in 1974 and then attended Clarkson University in Potsdam, New York, receiving his Bachelors of Science – Mechanical Engineering Degree in 1979.  Upon graduation, Stephen looked west for opportunities in warmer climates, and accepted a job offer with Bechtel Power Corporation in Southern California. Over the next years, Stephen’s career continued to advance, and in 1992, he was one of the founding shareholders of LCS Constructors, Inc. of Irvine, California. Over the next twenty five years, he was instrumental in building LCS into a nationally recognized builder of laboratories and technical facilities. He was devoted to family and friends, as well as his extended LCS “work“ family. Stephen is survived by his father, Arnold (Gus) Metzger; his sons, Patrick and Michael Metzger; and his sister’s family, Ellen and Scott Drinkwine and Brian Drinkwine.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org).

Death Notice - Margaret M. Celano

Obituary - Suzanne Marie Jelley

 

JELLEY, Suzanne Marie, of Westhampton Beach, NY. She was the daughter of the late Frank and Jane Jelley of Smithtown, NY. A graduate of Smithtown High School, Class of 1964, she received a BA from Southampton College of Long Island University, as well as a paralegal certificate from St. John’s University. She was member of the Alter Guild of St. Mark’s Episcopal Church,  Westhampton Beach and The Church of the Atonement Alter Guild. Suzanne enjoyed traveling and golf, and had a special love for her Old English Sheep dogs.   Suzanne was the devoted longtime friend of Julie Boone Kessler, of Hyde Park, NY and Barbara Compitello Shea of Miller Place, NY. She is survived by two cousins, Mark Jelley of Somers, NY and Scott Jelley of North Attelboro, Mass. Viewing at Follett & Werner Funeral Home, Westhampton Beach, NY Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9. Service Friday 11 AM ,St. Mark’s Episcopal Church, Westhampton Beach.  Interment following at Smithtown Cemetary, Smithtown, NY.
