Death Notice - John (Jack) W. Hennessy IV

Hennessy, John W. IV-(Jack) 74, on September 14, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Mary, his daughters and sons-in-law, Erin Hennessy Davidson, Colonel Joseph Davidson, Morgan Hennessy Wyler and Tom Wyler, beloved grandchildren Madison and Thomas Wyler, and his loyal and loving pup, Squirt. Dedicated English Teacher in the Smithtown School District. Visitation will be held Monday, September 18th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 PM at St. James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Road, (Rt 25) St. James. A Catholic funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September, 19th at 10:30 AM at St. Patrick’s Roman Catholic Church, 280 East Main Street, Smithtown, followed by interment at Smithtown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jack’s honor at the Smithtown Animal Shelter. Mr. Hennessy’s funeral arrangements were professionally supervised while the Hennessy Family was lovingly cared for during their bereavement by Kenneth, Kerry, Brian Elster, Danielle Marino, Marty Herman and the rest of the Maher Family & Staff of the St. James Funeral Home.

MATTERA, Richard R. age 74 passed away on November 10, 2017 surrounded by his loving family after a long and courageous battle with MS and Lymphoma. Born to Mario and Mary Mattera (previously deceased) on December 4, 1942 in New York City.  He is a retired member of UA Plumbers Local Union #200. Survived by his loving wife Judy of 55 years, his children Mary (Richard) & Mario (Teresa). Loving POPPY to Jessica, Cole and Jayme.
